Navigate to Forecasting

  • Forecasting is not a default feature you will need to consult customer success to activate this feature.

  • Open a Project then select Forecasting from the section menu

Setting the Baseline

  • Before you can set the baseline ensure that the start and end date is added for each work package, you will not be able to create your baseline without this.

  • Select the baseline resource you want to set. It will (by default) open the labour baseline.

  • Allocate a user to the resource by selecting the pen icon

  • Only users with a discipline and grade assigned can available for selection

    • Note the user will still need to be assigned to resources to be able to book their time.

  • Select the hours to be allocated for the user resource (double click the cell)

  • When assigning hours to weeks you have 2 options, either using the wand you can automatically populate the hours according to the S-Curve selected at the proposal stage.

  • Or you can manually assign the hours to each week (double click the cell)

  • Once the hours have been assigned you can select lock baseline

    • You will not able to make any further changes once it has been locked only a variation with unlock the baseline for that specific work package.

  • Once the baseline has been locked it can no longer be changed. Only if a new variation is approved can the baseline be unlocked so that it can update and reset.

  • By selecting Review you can view the changes that have been made to the baseline
