How to create, manage and conclude a Bid Evaluation

Creating a Bid Evaluation

  • Hover over the left blue navigation bar

  • Then select Opportunities

  • On the Opportunity index page Select 'Create Opportunities'

  • Enter the Opportunity Details


Managing a Bid Evaluation

  • After creating the Opportunity you will then be redirected to the Bid No Bid page where you can go through the Bid Evaluation steps and review the Assessment Outcome.

  • Select the Blue Pen Icon to further edit Opportunity details

  • The Assessment Outcomes will Update as you go through the Bid Evaluation steps.


Bid Evaluation Steps

STEP 1 - Go / No Go

  • Select Yes/No on the toggle for each question.

  • Saving the Opportunity will update the Assessment outcome either Consult or Go.

    • If all decisions are Yes (Go) then you can continue the bid evaluation by moving to the next step.

    • If there is a single No (Consult) then you must consult internally and decide whether to continue the bid evaluation or instead No Bid.

  • Selecting No Go (No Bid) will stop the bid evaluation and no further changes can be made on the Opportunity.


STEP 2 - Analysis

  • Select the information for each field. Each field will assign a value (the circled numbers on the right of each question) the lower the value better.

  • At the end of the Analysis;

    • If the outcome is equal or below 14 then the winning strategy (step 4) will be optional.

    • If the outcome is above 14 then the winning strategy will be required.


STEP 3 - Difficulty Factor

  • Select the toggles to indicate the difficulty factor

  • The result of this step will not impact your ability to progress


STEP 4 - Winning Strategy

  • If the winning strategy is optional after step 3 you will be sent to step 5. Select Step 4 on the progress bar at the top to enter a winning strategy.

  • Enter the information for each of the fields. It is recommended that a well informed user complete the winning strategy.

  • The last question will determine whether you have a winning strategy or not.

  • Whether you have a winning strategy or Not you will still be able to progress it is up to the user to decide whether to Go or No Go.


STEP 5 - Risk Analysis

  • Tick the level of Risk for each question within the Risk Analysis

  • The result of this step will not impact your ability to progress


Bid Evaluation Decision

  • Review all decisions/fields made throughout the Bid evaluation

    • Select the filter toggle to highlight the negative points

  • Select Progress to Proposal-Oppor

  • Choose Bid or No-Bid
