Creating a new Standard Opportunity

On the main navigation menu select Opportunities.

You will find yourself on the Opportunity index page where you are able to view and access existing Opportunities.

To create a new Opportunity select the orange Create Opportunity button.

An Opportunity form will appear on the screen, you will need to complete the details before you can continue. Most details are required but few (incl. Description, Go% and Get%) can be left blank.

Note that these details are configureable at anytime on the Opportunity page and if the status is changed to bid will be updated on the Proposal form.

Managing a Standard Opportunity

After the Opportunity form is complete you will be redirected to the Opportunity page where you will have visibility of the current status along with the ability to update the Opportunity form details and store relevant files.

Select the blue pen icon to access the opportunity form and make changes.

Once the decision has been made on whether to bid for the Opportunity or not you can manually change the status to cement that decision.

  • Bid (Pending) - Selecting Bid (Pending) will not have an action however this status can be used to indicate bid is pending internal consultation before the decision is made.

  • Bid - Selecting Bid will convert the Opportunity to a proposal where the bid can be pursuit, no further actions can be made towards the Opportunity after converted however it will remain on the index page for future reference.

  • Cancelled - Selecting cancel will freeze the Opportunity and no further actions can be made towards the Opportunity however it will remain on the index page for future reference.

  • No Bid - Selecting No Bid will freeze the Opportunity and no further actions can be made towards the Opportunity however it will remain on the index page for future reference.
