How to grant MS365 Permissions

  • Only users setup as Company admin have access as this is in Admin Console. To grant MS365 permissions only MS365 administrators will be able to complete integration between Proteus and MS365.

  • Navigate to Microsoft 365 Integration and replace xxxxxx by the name of your instance

  • Select ‘Give Admin Consent’ button.

  • You will be redirected to MS365 login. Login into your company's MS365 account.

  • Once logged in you will see MS365 permission that Proteus is requesting page. Approve Proteus requested permission.

  • You will be redirected back to ProteusMS 365 IDs will now appear on MS365 page - showing successfully connected.

  • Select Default Group Owner

  • This user is assigned as the owner of the root MS 365 Group, and will be used only when the Proteus user who creates a proposal (etc) is not linked to a MS user. We recommend a Company Admin user for this purpose with access to both Proteus and MS365 PROTEUS-ROOT.

  • Select Finish Setup button. This will now populate the templates folders in Files.

  • Select Deactivate integration to reset this process if required.

How to connect users proteus account to their MS 365 Account

  • Navigate to Microsoft 365 Integration inside the Admin Console.

  • Select the tickbox for the required users in table

  • Select ‘Add Users to Root Group’ button

  • Check if for the required users the MS365 Account column has been automatically populated or select manually from the user directory.

  • Notes:

    • This connection is necessary when inviting users to records with file access enabled.

    • The column with the name 'Connected' will update to a tick when entries are correctly connected

How to grant consent to the File Portal

  • This is a one-time consent for your personal user account's Proteus-MS365 integration. Depending on your MS365 password policy you may need to grant consent again at a later stage or you can setup Single Sign On (SSO) for your MS365 company account and users.

  • Select ‘Files’ via the blue menu bar on the left of the screen

  • Select ‘Login’ button and enter MS credentials.

  • You will be redirect to Permission request screen. Select ‘Consent on behalf of your organisation’ checkbox, and ‘Accept’

  • You will be redirected back to the Proteus Files page - which will now have a file toolbar and Templates folders. Through the 3-dots menu in Proteus you can navigate to your MS Sharepoint site for each record created in Proteus.
