Setting up MS365 Integration
The MS365 setup is one time and should only take around 5 mins however, to grant MS365 permissions only MS365 administrators will be able to complete integration between Proteus and MS365.
In the admin console select the URL and type ms365 after the admin-console/ you will likely need to remove the existing word.
Once the page has updated this screen will appear below, select the Give Admin Consent button to continue the setup.
You will be redirected to MS365 login. Either select an existing account to login or select use another account.
Once logged in a screen will popup asking for Proteus to be granted access to MS365. Select the Accept button to continue.
Note below if you do not have admin access within MS365 you will not be able to complete the MS365 integration setup.
You will be redirected back to Proteus and the MS365 IDs will now appear on MS365 page - showing successfully connected.
On Proteus you can now select the default group owner from the drop down.
And then Select Finish Setup to complete the integration.
This user is assigned as the owner of the root MS365 Group, and will be used only when the Proteus user who creates a proposal (etc) is not linked to a MS user. We recommend a Company Admin user for this purpose with access to both Proteus and MS365 PROTEUS-ROOT.
You are always able to deactivate the MS365 integration in the future via the Deactivate Integration button.
Connecting Proteus User and MS365 accounts
Once the integration has been setup a new field for Microsoft 365 Integration will appear within the admin console.
Scroll through the users to find who to connect there ms365 account. Select the field within the MS365 Account column and a drop down of all available ms365 accounts will appear.
Select the correct account for the user, this will then automatically connect the 2 accounts, which is visible via the small tick in the Connected column.
Setting up this connection is necessary for having access to files within a record.
Granting File Portal Consent
This is a one-time consent for your personal user account's Proteus-MS365 integration. Depending on your MS365 password policy you may need to grant consent again at a later stage or you can setup Single Sign On (SSO) for your MS365 company account and users.
Within the main Proteus page select Files via the main navigation.
Select Sign in and enter your MS credentials.
Only for the first user to login will they be redirect to Permission request screen.
Only a MS365 admin user with the correct permission can complete this setup.
Ensure that the Consent on behalf of your organisation is ticked otherwise this setup will only be viable for the user who accepts.
