Units of Measure (UOM)
Before assets can be created within Proteus you need to create Units of Measure (UOM). These are created within the Admin Console > Assets.
UOMs give extra flexibility to create as many units, and in as many different ways, as needed. It purely depends on how you measure and price your assets.
Create a Unit of Measure
UOMs can be created for either Equipment or Software.
Select the + Add New Unit button. This creates a new unit line item.
Enter the unit name.
Select the blue save icon.
NOTE: A unit can only be deleted via the bin icon, if it is not currently in use, meaning no value has been added to an existing asset for that unit. If the unit is in use it cannot be deleted.
